John A. Sakaley III, Nintendo of America's vice president of merchandising, has resigned from his post and retired from the company he joined more than 16 years ago. Sakaley is known for debuting the shop-within-a-shop concept and the Nintendo Fun Center. During his retirement, the graduate of University of Notre Dame will serve as a consultant to his company JSakaley3 Inc., focusing on retail displays and merchandising.
