Sammy Releases 3rd Quarter Financial Results

Sammy has disclosed its financial results for the October to December 2003 period in Japan today. The parent company of Sega reached an ordinary profit of 18.3 billion yen ($172.77 million US) on sales of 67.25 billion yen ($634.91 million US). The consumer software division posted sales of 3.44 billion yen ($32.48 million US). In the meantime, the company saw the total value of its assets rise to 225.38 billion yen ($2.13 billion US), following the acquisition of a 25.4% stake in Sega from CSK and the takeover of Nissho Interlife. Both companies have since become sister companies of Japan's largest Pachislot developer. For the full fiscal year 2003/2004, Sammy projects sales of 215 billion yen ($2.03 billion US) and a net profit of 30 billion yen ($283.23 million US).
