Composers Hitoshi Sakimoto, Masaharu Iwata and Manabu Namiki have founded Basiscape Co., Ltd. The Tokyo-based company will be headed by Sakimoto, composer of the Ogre Battle and Final Fantasy Tactics series, Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter and (as announced yesterday) Final Fantasy XII. Among the company's fields of operation are not so surprisingly: the planning, production, publishing of music-related content as well as its property rights administration. Furthermore, the planning and production of songs for commericals and music-related information services.
