Konami has revealed its financial results for first half of the fiscal year 2003/2004. Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, the company managed to increase its consolidated profit by a factor of 2.5 to 10.9 billion yen ($100.45 million US). Sales are reported to have increased by 15%, thereby reaching 130 billion yen ($1.2 billion US). The good results were attributed to the continued popularity of Yu-Gi-Oh trading cards and related computer game software in the US and Europe.
