Zelda Bonus Disc To Be Available Outside GC Bundle In US, Japan
11.07.03 - 12:40 PM

As previously announced, the new GC bundle shipping on November 17th will include a bonus disc including several classic Zelda titles (the two NES Zelda, the two N64 Zelda, and a Wind Waker demo) at a price of $99 US.

But players who already own a GameCube won't be left out, as Nintendo of America has announced they can get the bonus disc by one of the following ways:
- By registering their GameCube and purchase two of the following titles: Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Party 5, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and 1080: Avalanche,
- Or, by subscribing or renewing their subscription to Nintendo Power Magazine.

In either case, buyers will need to register with My Nintendo at www.nintendo.com. Since the GC's price $99 drop one month ago, the system has doubled its North American market share from 19% to 37%.

In related news, the bonus disc has also been announced in Japan. According to Famitsu, members of the Nintendo Club will be able to exchange the game with points in 2004, although it's unknown how many points will be needed.

A similar disc having also been announced in Europe in a Mario Kart+GC bundle, hopefully the European branch of Nintendo will find a way for people who already own a GC to get the bonus disc outside the bundle as well.
