New Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Details Revealed
10.01.03 - 10:00 AM

Square Enix has released additional information regarding its second newest Kingdom Hearts title, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GameBoy Advance. As previously reported, the company will be cooperating with Jupiter on the title. The key staffers behind the project naturally are the very same familiar Square Enix staffers who have already worked on Kingdom Hearts and now are simultaneously working on Kingdom Hearts II: director Tetsuya Nomura, battle director Yuuichi Kazumori as well as producers Shinji Hashimoto and Yoshinori Kitase. Instead of Kazushige Nojima however, the scenario for Chain of Memories will be written by Daisuke Watanabe. The game's main theme will be fragmented memories. The story will begin in the Castle of Oblivion, with the intro movie featuring a song and voice acting. While the gameplay will be different from Kingdom Hearts', players will still be able to identify this as a sequel to the original title. The CG modelling of Kingdom Hearts will in its entity be turned into 2D dots by Jupiter.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories will be available before Kingdom Hearts II for PlayStation 2 sometime next year.
