Kingdom Hearts Goes Greatest Hits; More Sequel Details 09.26.03 - 5:12 PM Square Enix's 2002 hit Kingdom Hearts will be re-released as part of Sony Computer Entertainment America's Greatest Hits budget series on October 6th for $19.99 US. The development of the game's two sequels, Kingdom Hearts II for PlayStation 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for Game Boy Advance will again be overseen by director and character designer Tetsuya Nomura, producer Shinji Hashimoto, as well as production team 1 head Yoshinori Kitase, who will serve as the game's co-producer. Not so surprisingly, Disney Interactive is cooperating with Square Enix on the two titles again. Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories will be available in Japan sometime next year. Kingdom Hearts II has yet to receive an official release date, but will most likely not make its way onto retail store shelves before fall 2004. Both titles have been confirmed for a North American release, though a timeframe has yet to be specified. |
