Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Editor Review
07.25.03 - 7:40 PM

The Xbox has never been considered to be the ideal console for an RPG fan. Despite its arguably strong entrance into the field of gaming, the Microsoft-developed console simply could not lure the RPG juggernauts to its side. Meanwhile, BioWare has been producing games on the PC that leave gamers breathless and begging for more, but has appeared to have no interest in shifting its talents to the consoles. It was once thought that these two worlds of gaming would not intersect. But now, these thoughts have been shattered.

Following the trend of predecessor Morrowind, BioWare has decided to release its PC-styled RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on both the PC and the Xbox. Unlike Morrowind, however, BioWare's creation made its appearance on the Xbox first and will not be available for the PC until later this year. Can Knights of the Old Republic succeed in feeding the hunger for RPGs felt by Xbox owners? It would seem that editor John McCarroll has the answer.
