Weekly Japanese Sales Charts Update

Konami Computer Entertainment's survival horror action adventure Silent Hill 3 topped this week's edition of the Japanese sales charts, selling 44,556 copies on its debut. Hence last week's No.1 seed, the PlayStation 2 racer Initial D Special Stage from Sega fell to spot 2, but still managed to easily pass the 200,000 mark this week. Nintendo's GameBoy Advance version of Mother 1 and 2 slipped to spot 5, selling 21,488 copies this week and a total of 193,155 copies. Square Enix's newest PlayStation 2 RPG, Hanjuku Eiyuu Tai 3D (Hanjuku Hero VS 3D) dropped to spot 6, adding 20,506 copies to its total of 118,449 copies. At spot 9, Koei's PlayStation 2 strategy title Sangokushi Senki 2 has sold 12,987 copies for a total of 40,961 copies. Nintendo's Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire climbed back to spots 15 and 16, selling 7,027 copies (for a total of 2,170,479 copies) and 6,645 copies (for a total of 2,228,380 copies) this week respectively. By selling 5,613 copies this week, Gust's most recent installment of the popular Atelier series, Viorate no Atelier: The Alchemist of Gramnat 2 for PlayStation 2 reached spot 18 and a total of 37,339 copies. Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire slipped to spot 19 this week, having sold 5,409 copies and a total of 137,244 copies. Square Enix's Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart climbed from spot 31 to 30 this week, by selling 3,421 copies. The GBA title thereby reached a total of 545,798 copies. Just like the Square Enix title, Koei's MMORPG Nobunaga's Ambition Online managed to climb one spot this week to 31. The PS2 game has sold 3,355 copies this week and a total of 33,330 copies. Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken also gained some ground. By selling 3,289 copies this week, the strategy title brought its total to 226,864 copies, at spot 32. Square Enix's PlayStation 2 blockbuster Final Fantasy X-2 re-entered the charts by climbing from spot 58 to 40. By selling 2,596 copies this week, the sequel to Final Fantasy X brought its total to an impressive 1,972,606 copies. Capcom's Rockman EXE 3 Black came in at spot 43, having sold 2,491 copies this week and a total of 130,774 copies. Marvelous Interactive's Bokujou Monogatari Mineral Town no Nakamatachi (Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town) climbed from spot 48 to 44. The GameBoy Advance title sold 2,490 copies this week for a total of 85,239 copies. Zelda Legend of The Four Swords re-entered the charts at spot 50, having sold 2,170 copies this week and 283,348 copies since its March 14th release.
