Blizzard Releases Diablo II 1.10 Beta Patch
07.08.03 - 9:45 PM

Fans of Diablo II have been waiting for quite a long time for the 1.10 patch, which promises to change a good deal of things about the game, and add even more to it.

While the patch still has yet to be released, or even given a final release date, Blizzard has released a beta version of the patch that users can download on their site. There are a few limitations and things worth noting however:

  • The Diablo II 1.10 patch beta is only playable in single-player mode and only via TCP/IP for multiplayer; You cannot play this version on Battle.net.
  • To play on Battle.net again, the download includes a batch file that you can run to revert back to version 1.09.
  • The 1.10 patch is currently only available for Windows, though a release is promised for the Mac soon.

While the beta patch releases are separate for each platform, when the final version is ready, both the Windows and Mac versions are expected to be released closer together, if not simultaneously.

Blizzard intends to release a full list of what the patch changes in the near future, and we'll be sure to mention it here when the information is available.
