Major Final Fantasy XI Update Announced

Square Enix has announced the newest update for its MMORPG Final Fantasy XI for the PlayStation 2 and PC. Apart from fixing from bugs contained in the expansion disc Rise of Zilart, the newest update will feature a new region named Tu-Ria, which was designed particularly for high-level gamers. In order to gain to the region however, users need to meet certain requirements. The level cap will be raised to 70 and along with it the battle and synthesis skill levels as well. New notorious monsters will appear in Zilart and other areas. In various towns across Zilart, Chocobo renting stations will be established.

Following its beta testing phase, Final Fantasy XI for the PC will be available in the US later this year, with the Sony Computer Entertainment America-published PS2 version following in early 2004.
