Sega has announced that all North American online operations involving its discontinued Dreamcast console, with the sole exception of Phantasy Star Online Version 2, will be suspended this month. Apparently Sega had delayed the shutdown already once in the past.

Sega discontinued the production of the Dreamcast in March 2001 and opted to become a third party publisher, in the wake of a towering deficit.
