Pokemon Tops Japanese Charts Again

Nintendo's add-on Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire has entered the Japanese sales charts at spot 1, selling 78,433 copies during its first week. Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken for the GameBoy Advance climbed back to spot 7 this week, selling 10,957 copies to break the 200,000 mark and bring its total to 200,710 copies. Konami's anime-based PlayStation 2 adventure Saishuu Heiki Kanojo entered the charts at spot 10, selling 10,613 copies upon its debut. Square Enix's GameBoy Advance title Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart dropped from spot 6 to 11, thereby selling 10,475 copies this week and a total of 520,870 copies. Pokemon Sapphire slipped to spot 14, selling 8,600 copies this week (and a total of 2,192,125 copies). Pokemon Ruby on the other hand climbed one spot up to 18, adding 7,610 copies to its total of 2,136,092 copies. Alchemist's Dreamcast adaption of Princess Holiday entered the charts at spot 23, selling 5,886 copies. Victor Interactive's GameBoy Advance simulation title Bokujou Monogatari Mineral Town no Nakamatachi (Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town) dropped to spot 24, selling 5,338 copies this week for a total of 69,313 copies. Nintendo's Zelda: Legend of the Four Swords remained at spot 26, by selling 4,950 copies this week and a total of 270,718 copies since its March 14th release. Banpresto's 2nd Super Robot Taisen Alpha for PlayStation 2 sold 4,810 copies this week, thereby coming in at spot 27 and bringing its total to 494,653 copies. The PlayStation One RPG From TV animation One Piece Oceans Dream from Bandai fell to spot 28, selling 4,683 copies for a total of 104,750 copies. Capcom's Rockman EXE 3 Black lost some ground by dropping from spot 27 to 29. The GBA RPG sold 4,500 copies this week and a total of 115,113 copies. Another new entry can be found at spot 30: Princess Soft's PlayStation 2 adventure Cafe Little Wish sold 4,433 copies upon its debut. At spot 32, Square Enix's blockbuster Final Fantasy X-2 added another 3,958 copies to its impressive total of 1,958,737 copies. The second Princess Soft title Phantom - Phantom of Inferno for the PlayStation 2 fell from spot 16 to 35, selling 3,583 copies and a total of 10,616 copies. Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters 8 climbed up by one spot from 38 to 39, selling 3,463 copies for a total of 106,533 copies. By selling 3,363 copies this week and a total of 62,122 copies, Nintendo's Skip-developed, alternative GameCube RPG Giftpia slipped to spot 38. From Software's Rune II (Lost Kingdoms II) for the GameCube achieved sales of 3,329 copies this week, thereby dropping from spot 12 to 39 and reaching a total of 11,843 copies. Square Enix's GBA strategy title Final Fantasy Tactics Advance sold 2,678 copies at spot 45 this week and a total of 441,628 copies since its February 14th release. Generation of Chaos 3 - Toki no Fuuin from Idea Factory came in at spot 46, by selling 2,594 copies this week and a total of 34,217 copies. Konami's newest Castlevania title, Aria of Sorrow dropped to spot 48, selling 2,187 copies this week and a total of 29,587 copies. Another Konami title, Love Hina for the PlayStation 2 fell to spot 49. The adventure title sold 2,178 copies this week for a total of 9,459 copies.
