Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Preview
06.04.03 - 7:06 AM

The console strategy RPG genre hasn't produced much recently, having seemingly been dealt a deathblow by the freakishly painful Hoshigami. Well, after months and months of nary an SRPG to be found, there seems to be a second renaissance for this lost lost member of the RPG family.

With the delightfully madcap Disgaea for the PS2 in the works as well as Nintendo's annoucement that Fire Emblem for the GBA is coming to our shores, all seems well. As impressive as both of these titles are, probably the most significant SRPG release in the coming months is the advent of the next incarnation of the beloved Final Fantasy Tactics.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance looks to bring the depth and beauty of its PlayStation sibling to the small screen with even more features such as interconnectivity and even a special visual setting to take advantage of the Game Boy Advance SP's backlight.

Before I continue to ramble on, Mark brings us an excellent first-look at what is sure to bring much music to the hearts of Final Fantasy Tactics fans.
