When last we spoke with Codemasters about their upcoming medieval MMORPG, Dragon Empires, at E3 the game was still in alpha. Hard to beleive a game with an environmental graphics engine that would make most high-end graphics fanboys soil themselves isn't even close to beta stages. Alas, the character models at this point aren't very impressive, we were informed that they will be receiving a complete overhaul as the game goes into the next stage of development.

Though the game is slowly, but surely, coming along - Tim has decided to augment our recent coverage of the game with a rather lengthy, but informative preview. With late 2003 shaping up to be a shoot-out between online persistant worlds, Dragon Empires certainly appears to have both barrels loaded.
