Weekly Japanese Sales Charts Update

With only two new entries making their way into the TOP 50 and the best selling title selling a mere 25,230 copies, calling this week's edition of Japanese sales charts low-key would be an exaggeration. Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken climbed back to spot 3, selling 23,296 copies this week for a total of 164,152 copies. In the meantime, Bandai's PlayStation One title and last week's No.1 From TV Animation One Piece Oceans Dream dropped to spot 4, adding 20,943 copies to achieve a total of 82,231 copies. Square Enix's GameBoy Advance RPG Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart climbed by two spots back to 5, selling 20,544 copies this week, thereby bringing its total to 486,030 copies. Idea Factory's most recent PlayStation 2 offering Generation of Chaos 3: Toki no Fuuin entered the charts at spot 6, selling 20,500 copies upon its debut. The ups and downs of Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby continue, as the two Nintendo titles dropped to spots 14 and 15 respectively. The former sold 10,936 copies (for a total of 2,169,276) and the latter 10,873 copies (for a total of 2,115,342) this week. Skip's alternative RPG Giftpia for the GameCube slipped to spot 17, selling 8,686 copies this week for a total of 49,500 copies. Giftpia is followed by 2nd Super Robot Taisen Alpha on spot 18. The PlayStation 2 title from Bandai managed to sell another 8,561 copies this week to bring its total to 477,856 copies. Capcom's Rockman EXE 3 Black gained some ground and by selling 7,950 copies this week and a total of 101,593 copies, ended up on spot 19. Zelda: The Legend of the Four Swords for the GBA climbed to spot 23, selling 7,720 copies this week and a total of 256,097 copies. Victor Entertainment's Bokujou Monogatari Mineral Town no Nakama (Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town in the US) climbed back up to spot 21, selling 7,621 copies this week for a total of 53,137 copies. Square's first ever sequel to a Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy X-2 fell to spot 23, thereby selling 6,315 copies to bring its total to 1,945,945 copies. Konami's GBA title Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters International Worldwide Edition came in on spot 25, selling 5,443 copies this week and a total of 47,998 copies. Square Enix's strategy title Final Fantasy Tactics Advance climbed to spot 29, by adding 4,414 copies for a total of 431,936 copies. The second Yu-Gi-Oh title in the charts, Duel Monsters 8 also gained some ground, by rising to spot 30. The GBA title has sold 4,356 copies and a total of 96,463 copies. Princess Soft's PlayStation 2 version of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien fell from spot 17 to 32, selling 4,350 copies, thereby reaching a total of 15,410 copies. Banpresto's second title in the charts, Summon Night - Kraftnod Monogatari slipped to spot 35, selling 3,794 copies this week for a total of 41,126 copies. By selling 3,259 copies this week Sony Computer Entertainment's Arc The Lad: Seiren no Tasogare (Twilight of the Spirits) came in at spot 39 and brought its total to 154,876 copies. Bandai's fourth and final volume of .hack remained unchanged at spot 40, achieving sales of 3,060 copies this week to bring its total to 107,885 copies. The third installment of Success' adventure series, Konohana slipped from spot 19 to 42, selling 2,991 copies and a total of 12,969 copies in the process. Takara's Bouken Yuuki Prasterworld - Densetsu no Prasterworld - Starter Kit re-entered the charts at spot 45, selling 2,842 copies and a total of 10,749 copies. Enterbrain's RPG Tsukuuru Advance slipped to spot 46, selling 2,800 copies this week for a total of 21,695 copies. Zelda: Kaze no Takuto (The Wind Waker) dropped to spot 48, selling 2,700 this week and a total of 649,697 copies since its December 2002 release.
