Weekly Japanese Sales Charts Update

If the title topping the Japanese sales charts sells a mere 60,000 copies, then you know we are in for another slow week. Bandai's From TV animation One Piece Oceans Dream for the PlayStation One sold 61,288 copies upon its debut to take the top spot this week. Nintendo's GameBoy Advance strategy RPG Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken dropped from spot 2 to 4, selling 47,550 copies in this second week, for a total of 141,430 copies. Square Enix's Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart fell from spot 4 to 7, thereby selling 33,130 copies to brings its total to 465,486 copies. Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby climbed back to spots 11 and 14, selling 18,383 (for a total of 2,158,340) and 16,867 (for a total of 2,104,469) copies this week, respectively. Skip's alternative GameCube RPG Giftpia slipped to spot 12, selling 17,914 copies this week and a total of 40,814 copies. Banpresto's 2nd Super Robot Taisen Alpha for PlayStation 2 came in at spot 15, selling 14,128 copies this week for a total of 469,295 copies. The twice-delayed PlayStation 2 version of Kimi ga Nozumu Eien entered the charts at spot 17, selling 12,289 copies. Square Enix's March blockbuster Final Fantasy X-2 remained at spot 18, adding 11,307 copies to its grand total of 1,939,630 copies. Success' adventure title Konohana 3 for the PlayStation 2 entered the charts at spot 19, selling 10,885 copies. Capcom's RPG Rockman EXE 3 Black for the GBA climbed back to spot 21, selling 10,027 copies this week for a total of 93,643 copies. Nintendo's Zelda: Legend of the Four Swords dropped one spot to 23, selling 9,640 copies this week and a total of 248,377 copies. Victor's Bokujou Monogatari Mineral Town no Nakatachi for the GBA fell to spot 24, achieving sales of 9,474 copies this week and a total of 45,516 copies. By selling 8,500 copies this week, Banpresto's GBA action RPG Summon Night Kraftnot Monogatari dropped from spot 3 to 25 and reached a total of 37,332 copies. The latest installment in Konami's popular Yu-Gi-Oh series, International Worldwide Edition for the GBA sold 8,442 copies this week and a total of 42,555 copies, thereby reaching spot 27. Enterbrain's GBA title RPG Tsukuuru Advance came in at spot 34, selling 5,475 copies this week for a total of 18,895 copies. Square Enix's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for GameBoy Advance climbed up two spots to 35, selling 5,388 copies to bring its total to 427,522 copies. Konami's second Yu-Gi-Oh title in the charts, Duel Monsters 8 climbed back to spot 36, selling 4,910 copies this week and a total of 92,103 copies. It's followed by another Konami title, Hunter X Hunter Minna Tomodachi Taisakusen at spot 37, which sold 4,888 copies in its second week to reach a total of 9,699 copies. Sony Computer Entertainment's Arc The Lad - Seiren no Tasogare (Twilight of Spirits) recovered some ground, by climbing from spot 45 to 38. The game has sold 4,769 copies this week to bring its total to 151,617 copies. The fourth volume of Bandai's popular PlayStation 2 series .hack dropped to spot 40, selling 4,637 copies this week for a total of 104,825 copies since its April 10th release. Square Enix's expansion disc to Final Fantasy XI, Vision of Jiraat sold another 4,355 copies at spot 42, thereby bringing its total to 104,529 copies. Namco's PlayStation 2 adventure Yumeria fell to spot 44, selling 3,873 copies and a total of 16,798 copies. Nintendo's GameCube title Zelda: Kaze no Takuto (The Wind Waker) re-entered the charts at spot 47, adding 3,563 copies to its total of 646,997 copies.
