Sony Online Entertainment has announced the development of Lords of EverQuest. The Rapid Eye Entertainment-developed real-time strategy title will be SOE's first offline PC game. Set in the land of Antonica, players control one of 15 Lords fighting for the domination of Antonica. Lords of EverQuest will feature 36 single player missions, thousands of items, hundreds of spells as well as the ability for units to gain experience and thereby learn new abilitities. Furthermore, up to 12 players can compete with each other via the internet utilizing the game's free online multi-player mode.

Lords of Everquest will be available in the US sometime in fall 2003.
