Dark Age Of Camelot Expansion Announced
04.17.03 - 6:55 AM

Mythic Entertainment has announced plans for a new expansion pack for their PC MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot. Titled Foundations, the free expansion adds player housing to the game. Players or guilds can claim a housing lot, then purchase their choice of type of house, which are also customizable according to the realm they're built in. The real estate market has fluctuating prices. Houses can be decorated in several ways, with a character's trophies and weapons, or the usual decor of paintings, torches and the like. Homes can also be used for meetings, as a safe zone, trading and storing items.

Mythic also mentioned that Foundations is not the only expansion pack they have planned for Dark Age of Camelot. Another free expansion is in the works to develop realm vs. realm combat, and another retail expansion is due out later this year.

Foundations, which is currently in closed beta testing, will be available in mid-June, and will also be an optional free download for subscribers. The expansion should work with both Dark Age of Camelot as well as the Shrouded Isles expansion.
