Wish Announced
03.30.03 - 10:21 PM

Taking their stab at the MMORPG scene, developer Mutable Realms, Inc. has recently announced that its own Massively Multiplayer Online game will be brought to the public eye at this year's E3.

Entitled Wish, the project is being pushed with such high expectations by the developer that they have even gone as far as to change the genre description from the widely known acronym 'MMORPG' to 'UMMORPG' (Ultra Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). To back all this ambitious talk, Mutable Realms has revealed that Wish will be founded on the Internet Communication Engine (ICE), created by ZeroC Inc. to give the game 'extreme scalability and speed.? Claims have been made stating ?a server cluster architecture that scales to tens of thousands of players in a shared and seamless 3-D world,' by the developers. In addition, NDL's Gamebryo 3-D graphics toolkit is being used alongside of IDV's SpeedTreeRT.

Wish's expected release is listed as winter 2004. Further information can be found on Mutable Realms' official website, along with several screenshots and a handful of concept art.
