Sakura Matsuri Held in Japan

Sega is holding a special event called Sakura Masturi (Sakura Festival) to commemorate the release of its PlayStation 2 remake, Sakura Taisen: Atsuki Chishio Ni in Japan one month ago. The event will run from the 21st until the 27th in Tokyo, featuring a total of ten stage performances by the Teito Kagekidan Hanagumi (the voice actresses and actors of the series' main characters, who also perform the Sakura Taisen Song Show). With the exception of Sumire Kanzaki's voice actress Michie Tomizawa who retired last year, the entire cast of characters making an appearance in Sakura Taisen 2 was at hand. The same was obviously true for the series' mastermind, Ouji Hiroi. Apart from the performances, a stage talk featuring the voice talent behind Orihime and Leni took place.

Sakura Taisen: Atsuki Chishio Ni was released in Japan on February 27th and has sold about 180,000 copies to date.
