Not so surprisingly, it took Square's highly anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 only one day to pass the platinum mark and sell more than one million copies in Japan. Already on the day of its release, 1.2 million out of the initial shipment of 1.8 million units have been sold.
Final Fantasy X-2 is expected to be available in the US sometime in November.
