Konami Computer Entertainment America has announced that producer Koji Igarashi and his team at Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo are working on a new installment in the Castlevania series for PlayStation 2. The new title will be unveiled at Konami's booth at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in May. There's no word yet on whether the game will be 2D or 3D, which is a frequent point of debate regarding the series.
The as-yet-untitled Castlevania for PlayStation 2 will be released sometime this fall. Meanwhile, the series' next entry, Aria of Sorrow for Game Boy Advance will be released in the US on May 6th, 2003.
