Pokemania Still Rules Japanese Sales Charts

Once again, Pokemon Sapphire sits atop the most recent edition of the Japanese sales charts, followed by Pokemon Ruby. Sapphire sold 77,775 copies this week (for a total of 1,826,015 copies), wheras Ruby sold 73,575 copies (and a total of 1,783,027 copies). Behind the Pokemon domination, Square's two recent PlayStation 2 offerings, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Unlimited SaGa follow on spots 4 and 6. The international version of Square's popular action RPG sold another 27,729 copies to brings its total to 297,128 copies. Akitoshi Kawazu's Unlimited SaGa sold 23,486 copies for a total of 361,507 copies. Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto remained at spot 7 by selling 23,275 copies and a total of 565,883 copies since its December 13st release. At spot 13, Namco's Tales of Destiny 2 managed to add another 12,985 copies to its already impressive sales numbers, thereby bringing its grand total to 820,634 copies. Level 5's PlayStation 2 RPG Dark Chronicle climbed to spot 19 thereby selling 8,893 copies for a total of 214,394 sold copies since its November 28th release. Banpresto's Super Robot Taisen Original Generation for GameBoy Advance climbed one spot to 31 selling 5,650 copies this week and a total of 190,137. The third volume of Bandai's .hack series of PS2 RPG came in at spot 42 to sell 4,500 copies this week and 133,159 since its December 12th release. Namco's Tales of The World - Narikiri Dungeon 2 for GBA and Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei if... for PlayStation One reached spots 45 and 48 respectively, selling 4,363 and 4,147 copies this week (for totals of 165,263 and 28,164 copies respectively).
