Sony Online Entertainment has released new information regarding EverQuest Online Adventures, its first PlayStation 2 project. The game will feature nine races and 14 classes to choose from. In addition, players can customize their character's face and hairstyle. The nine races to be featured in the game, a short description of them, as well as the character classes available to a character of a certain race, are all listed below:
-Barbarian - Fierce Warriors from the North - Rogue, Shaman, Warrior
-Dark Elf - Cunning and witty, they always seek to enhance their personal power - Cleric, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Rogue, Shadowknight, Warrior, Wizard
-Dwarf - A stout and hardy race with jovial temperament - Cleric, Paladin, Rogue, Warrior
-Elf - Intelligent, wise and charismatic creatues who value nature above all things - Bard, Cleric, Druid, Enchanter, Magician, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard
-Erudite - High Men known for their affinity and mastery of the arcane sciences - Cleric, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Paladin, Shadowknight, Wizard
-Gnome - Carefree masters of ingenious design and creativity - Cleric, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Rogue, Warrior, Wizard
Halfling - Friendly creatues, who tend long for mischief and adventure
-Cleric, Druid, Rogue, Warrior
-Human-Eastern - Humans who often bind themselves to forbidden dark arts
--Bard, Cleric, Enchanter, Magician, Necromancer, Rogue, Shadowknight,
Warrior, Wizard
-Human-Western - Humans with great knowledge of magic, faith, and sword

-Troll - Creatues following their feral and vicious instincts - Shadowknight, Shaman, Wizard
EverQuest Online Adventures for the PlayStation 2 will be released in the US sometime in spring 2003.
