Japanese Companies Look Ahead

Japanese magazines keep quizzing industry executives and producers about their plans for the new year. In its recent issue, Weekly Famitsu continued this trend. Bandai's Shin Unozawa said his company has plans to develop a follow-up to its popular Project .hack series of PlayStation 2 RPGs. Enix's CEO Keiji Honda said his company will develop a MMORPG with Square and plans to come up with an entirely new type of game in addition. His counterpart at Square, Yoichi Wada wasn't as open, just asking fans to look forward to his company's upcoming offerings, Final Fantasy and other titles alike.
