Lost Kingdoms II Announced

Activision and From Software have announced a sequel to its GameCube card battling RPG, Lost Kingdoms, which was released earlier this year. Lost Kingdoms II takes place about 200 years after its predecessor, with the game's female protagonist possessing the ability to summon monsters via guardian creature cards. The game will feature 200 collectible cards, at least 100 of which were not in the first installment. This time around, the realm is named Argwyll, which consists of 26 worlds worth of exploring. Players will also have the ability to transform into various beasts in order to fight and solve puzzles, among other things.

Also making a return is the multiplayer versus mode, in which players can use cards they've collected throughout the game to battle each other.

Both the Japanese version (titled Rune II), and the US version are due out early next year.
