I've always been a sucker for historic Roman films. From classics like Heston's Ben-Hur to the more contemporary Gladiator, there has always been an allure to the arena warrior. The idea of living day to day, knowing that your life is little more than a plebian's afternoon entertainment has always held some fascination. Next year, LucasArts will try to capture that feeling of frantic survival in awesome arenas with the multi-platform wonder, Gladius.
From what we saw at E3 2002, the game was remarkably beautiful and frantically playable. To close out the month of September, Justin will entertain us with a preview and James brings us a stunning image gallery of what is sure to be one of the biggest hits of early 2003.
