Gravity announced yesterday that the Japanese beta for their MMORPG, Ragnarok Online, had begun. At least 550,000 people registered for the free; currently, the company is undecided about when they'll release the commercial version or how much it will retail for and monthly cost. Over 2,500,000 people play the game in South Korea.
In addition to a Japanese release of the game, a comic, animation, and cell phone content is all planned. Gravity is currently aiming for over 1 million Japanese users for Ragnarok Online.
