Genius Sonority Opens Manabu Yamana has recently taken leave of Enix Japan to form his own development studio, named Genius Sonority. Mr. Yamana was the lead programmer for Dragon Quest VII; his new company is partly funded by Nintendo and the Pokemon Company, and will be working on developing mostly RPGs for the GameCube and Gameboy Advance. Their first title is expected to be announced shortly. The company only currently has nine employees, but is actively hiring positions for programmers, musicians, artists (both hand-drawn and CG), game designers, and a general secretary. |
