Dragon Claw Announces Official FaitH Release

The Dragon Claw Studio has announced the official release of its 2D web-based MMORPG, FaitH. Until August 1st, players will be able to enjoy the virtual world of FaitH for free. Afterwards, a 3-month membership will cost you $10 USD, a year's subscription $29.99 USD and 25 combined accounts $125 USD. The game world is split up in different eras, with the current one, era 0 being dubbed the Dawn of War. This first era will only last until August 1st with consecutive eras lasting three months each from that point onwards.

Like other MMORPGs, players first have to choose a class for their character. In FaitH's case, they can choose between the following classes: Wizard, War Master, Rogue, Merchant and Jack of All Trades. Furthermore players can choose their character's religion, which together with its class will determine the player's starting location. Players will receive a province to govern and an army to lead, with 24 players forming a kingdom.

FaitH takes place in the world of the Aloradius. A god known as Gomiza created three beings: Rift, Celeste and Targar. While Rift and Celeste became lovers and created the Aloradius, the third being, Targar, put down the history of the Aloradius in a sacred book known as The Book of Dawn. Time passed by and the various kingdoms existing in the world right now have started speculating about their origin.

Unlike normal (text-only) web-based MMORPGs, FaitH will feature a graphic Build City function, an avatar for each player, as well as visualized army units, buildings, NPCs and a city, where you can buy items.

The game's other features include IRC-chat, forums and a ranking system.
