Square Talks Future Games Square has announced that Final Fantasy XII will be released next year, only on PlayStation 2. The US release of its recently released online predecessor Final Fantasy XI is still under scrutiny, as Square President Yoichi Wada was cautious to set a definite release date, while stating he was anything but sure whether the game would make it to the US by the end of the year. This bit of information is rather surprising, as both Sony and Square EA LLC stated at E3 that the game will only be available here by next year. What has become obvious, however, is the development of a PC version. Furthermore, Square plans to release one game featuring linkage between the two Nintendo consoles, GameBoy Advance and GameCube. Apparently Square still has no plans to develop for Microsoft's Xbox. |
