E3: Ragnarok Online makes a splash at E3! In an informal discussion with Chad Sohn, PR representative for Gravity Games, several new details about the upcoming MMORPG were disclosed. The final release version of Ragnarok Online will feature an expanded job system, allowing players to advance their initial classes into more specialized roles. Though the exact number of classes that will be playable in the final release of Ragnarok Online is unknown at this point, Mr. Sohn stated that between 30-40 job classes will be available when Ragnarok Online goes gold. When asked about the profound server lag that Ragnarok Online Beta players have experienced since Gravity established servers in the United States, Mr. Sohn informed us that a vast number of the players on the American servers were in-fact Thai gamers. Without a Chinese server, the Thai gaming community has proliferated on the American servers. Gravity informed us that they had plans on establishing a server in China to help ease the tremendous traffic on the newly established American servers. No US release date has yet to be confirmed as Gravity is currently looking for a American distributor. |
