The first game announced for the GBA is Car Battler Joe, a hybrid Racing/RPG. In Car Battler Joe you play as 16yr old boy who is out to redeem the name of his father Jim Todoroki, the champion Car Battler who mysteriously vanished. Car Battler Joe promises an in-depth storyline and customizable vehicles with over 3 million different combinations as well as 4 player link-up. Next up is Medabots. Medabots is based on the popular animated series where you play as a young Medafighter out to save the city of Riverview from the evil Rubberobo Gang. Medabots will feature characters and Medabots from the animated series and will allow you to customize the Medabots using hundreds of Medaparts that you'll have available. Two versions of Medabots will be released, each with exclusive Medaparts and Medals not found in the other version. However, the biggest title announced was Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for the Nintendo GameCube. While the game is still in development and won't be released until sometime 2003, it will feature new vegetables, farmyard animals and ability to get married and raise a family. A Wonderful Life promises to take the good qualities in all the previous Harvest Moon games and combine them to make a game to satisfy all the fans. A Harvest Moon for the GBA will also be released around the same time and will tout Nintendo's "Connectivity" to fleshen out the experience. However, no details were revealed as to what extent the GBA version of the game will interact with the GameCube version. |
