Baldur's Gate Xbox Bound Originally released for the Playstation 2 late last year, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is now scheduled to make its way to the Xbox. Developed by Snowblind Studios and produced by Black Isle Studios, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance takes a more action oriented approach to role-playing than its PC forerunners. An exciting action RPG experience featuring both single and two player cooperative modes, the game is set in the Forgotten Realms universe and makes use of 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules, all while maintaining a unique appeal for console gamers. While little is currently known about how the Xbox port of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance will differ from its Playstation 2 counterpart, several minor tweaks will almost certainly be made, such as graphically enhanced environments taking full advantage of the Xbox hardware. The game's soundtrack by the highly acclaimed Jeremy Soule, whose recent work includes music for Dungeon Siege and Morrowind, will make a comeback for the port, however, as will the game's look and feel for the most part. More details on what to expect from the Xbox port, as well as how it will differ from and remain the same as the Playstation 2 version, will no doubt be revealed during E3, but till then take a peek at our Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance media. We have 6 screen shots here, as well as a packaging shot here. |
