Nobunaga's Ambition Online Details At a recent press conference in Tokyo, Koei released further details about its upcoming PlayStation 2 online game, Nobunaga's Ambition Online. The game was originally announced at the PlayStation meeting back in March, but details were still sparse back then. The game will feature a job system and take place in a virtual world themed after 16th century Japan. Players can choose between the following seven jobs: Samurai, (Buddhist) monk, (Shinto) priest, diviner, ninja, blacksmith and healer. Battles against all the evil entities which will roam in this virtual world are fought in real-time. Those battles will be displayed in original and dramatic camera angels. While the game will require SCE's PS2 harddisk drive, it will not only support broadband, but also analog connections, via 3rd party hardware devices. Nobunga's Ambition Online is expected to enter its public beta testing phase in summer, with the Japanese release following sometime in fall 2002. No pricing has been announced as of now. |
