Ruins of Silence: Estpolis Gaiden Screen Shots

In light of Taito's latest installment in the Estpolis (Lufia) series, RPGFan has some screens of the Japanese version. The game hit store shelves in Japan on March 8th, for the Game Boy Advance.

The dungeons, or monster areas in the game, have a bit of a twist to them. Different characters can perform unique abilities while out of battle-pots can be picked up, crates can be pushed, bushes can be slashed, whips can be used to cross rivers, and so forth.

The battle system is viewed from behind the party in a third person perspective. While the enemy sprites are pretty much static, the animation for the party's sprites is very fluid. One party member even has a chain
that he swings in a 360 degree fashion while waiting for his turn.

Natsume will publish Ruins of Silence (speculated title) in the U.S. within the third quarter of this year. While no exact date has been set, RPGFan will keep you updated. For now, you can check out some more screen shots of the Japanese version.
