More Kingdom Hearts Details Since Kingdom Hearts has been released in Japan on March 28th, it is now official: A total of eight Final Fantasy characters are making guest appearances in Square's colloboration with Disney. The last additions are Cid and everyone's favorite FF mascot, a moogle. No Kingdom Hearts news update is without Disney characters, hence you can already look forward to meeting yet three more familiar faces out of the Disney studios in the game: The Beast, Chip'n Dale and Maleficent. As far as the battle system is concerned, there is a total of four summons available in the game, with Bambi and Simba joining Dumbo and Mushu. Last but not least, it is possible to learn certain abilities such as Dodge Roll or Sonic Ray upon successfully completing a level or gaining a level up after battling. While Japanese players and those who imported the Japanese version can already enjoy Square's newest work, interested fans on this side of the Pacific at least can take a look at the newly opened official English website of the game. Following the example of Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2, you can also sign up for a special "Name-in-Game" sweepstakes until April 12th there as well. Kingdom Hearts is expected to be released in the US in Fall 2002. |
