As of today, Sonic Team's GameCube port of Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 is being listed as cancelled on several retailers' release lists. Whether this means the game has been outright cancelled, or just delayed, is still unknown. Given the current state of the GameCube's online component, Sega may have put the development of its online MMORPG on hold until Nintendo announces the GameCube modem.
In the meantime, Working Designs now aims to release its Arc the Lad Collection on April 3rd. The company also lists a yet to-be-announced RPG for an October 1st release. Contrail's PS2 RPG Legaia Duel Saga, which will be published by Fresh Games this side of the Pacific, is expected to ship on the same day. RPG Maker (RPG Tsukuru 5 in Japan) for PlayStation 2 is expected to be released on July 1st, courtesy of Tommo. Last but not least, Enix of America is aiming to publish Road to Riches on August 30th 2003.
