Officialized at the Sony Meeting, Konami's Tokimeki Memorial: Girl's Side is, as the name says, a girl-oriented version of the publisher's famous dating sim, Tokimeki Memorial. The point of the game will be basically the same as the previous games', except you'll be playing as a girl dating boys.
Girl's Side will be released on June 20th for 6,800 yen on the PS2. The game will feature an upgraded version of TokiMemo 2 and 3's EVS system (Emotional Voice System), called EVS2, which allows players to create a sound file of the characters pronouncing their name, thanks to a database of pre-recorded sounds. Hence the boy will call you by your name and actually say it throughout the game. There is no word on the changes in the new EVS2 system, but it can be assumed that the character will say more than just the name this time. The name of the high school in this new installment is Habataki School. As in Tokimeki Memorial 3, you will be able to choose your clothes for dates, and this will have influence on the boys.
As usual in this kind of game, a number of popular seiyuu (voice actors) will be performing in the game; Hikaru Midorikawa (Hiro in Lunar EB, Tamahome in Fushigi Yugi), Akira Ishida (Alex in Lunar: SSS, Kaoru in Evangelion), Shinichirou Miki (Allen in Escaflowne) to name a few. As usual, don't expect a western release of this title, ever.
