Rhapsody of Zephyr Info and Media Released in Korea as a PC game in March 1998, Rhapsody of Zephyr managed to make its way across the Sea of Japan in 2000, courtesy of Nihon Falcom. Under the title Nishikaze no Rhapsody, the game appeared on Japanese Dreamcasts. Based on Alexandre Dumas's famous novel "The Count of Monte Cristo," Rhapsody of Zaphyr takes place 50 years after the War of Genesis. After losing its central power in the Caysir Empire during the final phase of the war, the land falls back into the feudal rivalries between local lords. However, out of the dust of history, steps a man called Cesare Borgia. He quickly sweeps to power and becomes the first Cardinal of the old Empire Dominion. Relying on his own "Godhead Faith," Cesare consolidates his power by banning the state religion and wiping out everyone who dares to challenge his absolute rule. In Rhapsody of Zephyr, you play as Cyrano Bernstein, a young aristocrat, who has been betrayed by his friends and thereafter sentenced to life imprisonment. After 12 years in prison he finally manages to escape from his cell and sets off to Storm Island where Asura, the legendary sword, is said to rest. In addition to Rhapsody of Zephyr media, we also have screenshots and artwork from a few other SoftMax titles, such as War of Genesis II, Panthalassa, and some extra War of Genesis III Part 2 wallpaper. |
