Wizardry Summoner GBA Media

While PC gamers have been treated to many quality Wizardry RPGs over the years, original titles in the classic series have recently been finding their into the hands of console gamers as well. Last year first saw the release of Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land for the PlayStation 2, then near the end of the year, Media Rings' Wizardry Summoner for the GameBoy Advance hit shelves in Japan just in time for Christmas.

Released December 21st at a retail price of 5 800 yen (approximately $43 US), this new handheld 3D dungeon crawler brings the tried and true action heavy Wizardry formula to the GameBoy Advance. While Wizardry Summoner's plot is by no means terribly involving, the quest to retrieve a forbidden book of ancient power for the king provides players with ample reason to delve into the labyrinthian depths of the game's randomly generated dungeons. Featuring over 300 varieties of monsters and 170 unique items, players can often capture and summon the game's multitude of enemies in addition to entering into combat with them.

While no US release for the game has yet been announced, import savvy Wizardry fans can pick up a copy of the game now.
