New Castlevania Game Coming For GBA

Konami Computer Entertainment has announced Castlevania: White Night Concerto for GameBoy Advance. Originally planned to be a PlayStation 2 title, the game's development team is led by Symphony of the Night producer Koji Igarashi. Ayami Kojima, who has already been responsible for the character designs of Symphony of the Night and the Castlevania Chronicles, returns as character designer.

In White Night Concerto you play as Jeust Belmont in the year 1740. In the game's beginning, players bear witness to the kidnapping of Liddy Erlanger and Maxim Quicin, both friends of Jeust's. Not so surprisingly, the two are brought to Dracula's castle.

Similar to Circle of the Moon, the first Castlevania title to grace the GBA, players need to fight their ways through the 2D levels of Dracula's castle by using a whip and a wide range of supplemantary weapons such as holy water, dagger or cross.

Castlevania: White Night Concerto is currently scheduled for a June 6th release in Japan. No stateside release has been announced yet.
