New Atelier Game In The Works Gust is working on a fourth installment in their alchemy RPG series; after Marie, Elie and Lilie, it's now Judie no Atelier: The Alchemist of Gramnat, a PlayStation2 game reported to be currently 60% complete. The Atelier series' gimmick is to follow the story of an apprentice alchemist in charge of an item atelier (workshop), who will have to make items, go adventuring, etc. This time, it's Judie, short for Judith Volltone, a 16-year old girl from 200 years before, who traveled through time after she messed up one of her potions. Judith will have to search for a certain alchemy-made item in order to go back to her own time. Atelier Judie will have more situations involving practical use of the items and fewer different endings, in comparison to the previous games. Therefore, it will take longer to complete the game the first time. The character designer will be Jun Futaba, which some of you may know for his site Wings of Destiny. Atelier Judie should be out in Japan in May and will retail for 6,800 yen. |
