Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land, Atlus' other title scheduled for release before the end of the year, will be their second PlayStation 2 game to hit US shores, following the release of Tsugunai: Atonement at the end of last month. Based on the classic PC PRG series, Wizardry will bring the familiar dungeon crawl gameplay style of its PC predecessors to the console world, but is also set to add a number of new play mechanics, like the unique Thrust System, in which special group attacks can be performed with a marked impact on party unity. Also carrying over from its PC RPG roots is Wizardry's high level of customization - the game features 5 races, 8 classes, and over a hundred weapons and items to uncover. In addition, while the fantasy-styled setting should be familiar to longtime Wizardry and dungeon crawl fans, the game's art has an undeniable Japanese flair to it, breathing new life into the well established series.
