Square has opened the official Final Fantasy XI website, with the introduction, FAQ and download sections already accessible. Furthermore, a Final Fantasy XI event, which will take place in Tokyo's International Forum on December 22nd from 10:00 until 17:00 JST, was announced on the site. The number of event attendees is limited to 5000 and the registration deadline is December 10th.
Final Fantasy XI is currently slated for an April 2002 release in Japan alongside the PlayOnline launch. In the meantime you can check out a new batch of 4 wallpapers, 2 pieces of CG artwork, and 11 screenshots of the game, thanks to Jayde.
