Sakura Taisen 2 Coming to Chinese and Taiwanese PCs In a press release, Sega has announced that the PC port of Sakura Taisen 2 - "Kimi, shinitamou koto nakare" will be released in China and Taiwan on November 10th. Sega has concluded contract negotiations with its Chinese and Taiwanese partners, Matrix Interactive and Dysin Interactive respectively, so the game can go into production. It will feature both simplified and traditional Chinese characters. Originally released for the Sega Saturn on September 27th in 1996, the Sakura Taisen series has sold more than 2.5 million copies in Japan so far. Interestingly enough, at the end of the press release, Sega expressed its desire to expand the market for Sakura Taisen, in particular mentioning North America and Europe as possible targets, in addition to the upcoming Asian releases. |
