Hoshigami Staff Explains Delays In a recent interview with Dengeki Playstation (issue #191), the staff of Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth has explained various things about the game's development. Of course, it had to be asked why the game received so many delays in Japan, all the more odd when a US publisher had picked the rights early and announced a release date before even the Japanese publisher. The staff explained the game's production is over - indeed, an extensive playable demo had been released quite a few months ago already, said demo being reviewed here. However, the staff has been working on a "volume up" version of the game, willing to offer "more polished contents" than originally planned. It's been over two years since the game's first screens have emerged, and hopefully, the game will see a release sometime before this year's end. While there is unexplicably still no Japanese release date for the game, as the staff "cannot give concrete information on the release date", it "should be announced very soon" though. Hoshigami's price has already been announced: as if to make up for all the delays, the game should retail at the rather low price of 4,800 yen (about $39). The US version should release on December 12th, and the box art can be seen here. By the way, did you know Hoshigami means 'Star god'? |
