New Info on Nihon Falcom's Zwei

More info has emerged on Nihon Falcom's PC RPG Zwei (meaning "two" in German). Zwei takes place in a floating world of ruins and natural environments. The game's two main characters are Pockle, a 14 year old, green haired boy and his female companion, Pipiru. On their journey they are accompanied by either a cat or a dog, depending on the player's preferences. In battle, Pockle uses short range attacks, while Pipiru relies on long range moves and spells. The game features the usual magic elements, water, fire, wind, light and darkness. With a little help from your pet, Pockle and Pipiru are able to unleash an ultra-powerful special attack.

Running under Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP at a resolution of 640x480, Zwei will be available December 20th in two different versions, one shipping on DVD, the other one on CDs. The game's price is set to 7,980 yen. Customers willing to preorder the game are awarded with three goodies: The Zwei Original OST, an Ys arranged OST called 'Ys Healing', and a Zwei silver metallic box. Considering this kind of Japanese PC games rarely make it to the US, a stateside release is more than unlikely.
