More Tokyo Game Show Fall Announcements While several other Japanese companies have long announced their line-ups for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show Fall 2001, Konami and Enix just announced the games they will be showing. In Konami's case it should be Tokimeki Memorial 3: That Promised Place, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings and Genso Suikoden III, that will be of interest for RPG fans. Among these three titles, the newest (cel-shaded) incarnation of Tokimeki Memorial, the first for PlayStation 2, is definitely one that will draw a lot of attention. What Tokimemo is for Konami, is Sakura Taisen for Sega and the company will be showing off three (!) Sakura Taisen games at TGS, Sakura Taisen 4 and Sakura Taisen Online for the Dreamcast as well as Sakura Taisen GB2: Operation Thunderbolt for the GameBoy Color. Enix in the meantime not only confirmed that they will display Star Ocean 3 for PS2, Dragon Quest IV PS, the online PC RPG Depth Fantasia and Snap Kids for Nintendo's GameBoy Advance, but also plan to show three more secret titles. While GameArts' Grandia II and Grandia X (both titles are published by Enix in Japan) could be among these titles, Dragon Quest VIII is also a possibility. No matter what, we at RPGFan will keep you up to date about this and other announcements made at TGS. |
